About the Recipe

Ingredients

For the Tacos:

  • 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 packet (1.25 oz) taco seasoning mix

  • 1 cup canned black beans, drained and rinsed

  • 1 cup diced tomatoes

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 8 small taco shells or tortillas

  • Cooking oil for sautéing (if needed)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Blanco Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup Blanco BBQ Sauce

  • 1/4 cup sour cream

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped

  • 1/2 teaspoon lime juice

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Preparation

For the Blanco Sauce:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine Blanco BBQ Sauce, sour cream, mayonnaise, chopped cilantro, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly blended. Refrigerate the sauce until you're ready to use it.

For the Tacos:

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or ground turkey over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through. If using lean meat, you may need to add a small amount of cooking oil to prevent sticking.

  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the cooked meat. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes, or until the onion becomes translucent.

  3. Stir in the taco seasoning mix and follow the instructions on the packet (usually, adding water and simmering). Cook until the mixture thickens and is well seasoned.

  4. Add the canned black beans and diced tomatoes to the meat mixture. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the beans and tomatoes to heat through.

  5. Warm the taco shells or tortillas according to the package instructions.

  6. Assemble your tacos: Spoon the meat and bean mixture into each taco shell. Top with shredded lettuce and cheddar cheese.

  7. Drizzle a generous amount of the prepared Blanco Sauce over the taco fillings.

  8. Serve the Blanco Sauce Fiesta Tacos hot, garnished with additional chopped cilantro if desired.

  9. Enjoy these delightful tacos bursting with flavors, where the creamy and tangy Blanco Sauce perfectly complements the savory taco filling for a fiesta in your mouth!

These tacos are perfect for a quick and flavorful dinner the whole family will love.
